Can Africa conquer space?
On April 25, 2002, Mark Shuttleworth became the first African in space. The United States and Russia may be the forerunners of space research but African countries also have their own space ambitions.

I beleieve we should first conquer illiteracy before anything else. Conquering space is a small hurdle once illiteracy and backwardness in technology is out of the way.
Theres no need to conquer illiteracy first...China has millions of illiterates and they still have the most advanced internet technology (IPV6) which isnt even in use in the United States yet.
What Africa needs to do is stop restricting it's ability by putting blame on factors like illiteracy, disease & population. We also need to stop corruption & greed. This is what's really preventing illiterates from getting the education they need.
What will take Af rica there is juct funding and collaboration in research and development. The pilitical will of the leaders to see it accomplished.
These however will only be possible by creating an enabling environment for private initiative to succeed. We 'll be there one day!
